FAQ — Mad AI: Angry Alarms
Platforms, pricing posture, photo proof, and what this app is not. Answers stay inside the App Store listing, Privacy, and Terms.
What is Mad AI: Angry Alarms?
Mad AI: Angry Alarms is an iPhone and iPad productivity app. You set a goal with a deadline, get reminders and alarms, then upload photo proof. The app checks the photo against the goal you wrote. If you miss the deadline, notifications keep coming until you finish or you stop the goal.
How is Mad AI different from a habit tracker?
A typical habit tracker lets you check a box and fail quietly. Mad AI is built around a deadline plus photo proof. You cannot mark a goal complete without a picture the app can check. That is a different loop, not a claim that every other tracker is useless.
What platforms is Mad AI available on?
Mad AI is available on iPhone and iPad, requiring iOS or iPadOS 18 or later. It is not available on Android. Download it from the App Store.
Is Mad AI free?
Download is free on the App Store. Mad AI includes in-app purchases. There is a 24-hour in-app trial after first sign-in on the device, then Premium unless you already subscribe. Current prices are listed on the App Store and can change; this site does not quote dollar amounts.
How does photo proof work?
You take a photo meant to show you did the goal. The app sends a resized JPEG without EXIF/GPS for a one-time automated check. The photo is not kept on our servers. The site does not promise that every honest photo will pass, or that every rejection is perfect.
Can I turn off notifications?
You can manage notification permissions in iPhone or iPad settings. Turning them off reduces the reminders and alarms that are part of how Mad AI applies pressure. The Privacy Policy explains that notifications related to goals and deadlines are part of the core functionality.
Is the harsh AI tone optional?
The direct and sometimes sarcastic tone is a core part of the experience. Mad AI is intentionally uncomfortable when you miss. If you want a gentle tracker, this is the wrong product. The tone is a design choice, not a clinical intervention.
Is Mad AI a treatment for ADHD or anything else?
No. Mad AI is a productivity app, not a medical device, therapy, or treatment. Some people who dislike gentle reminders prefer external pressure, including some people with ADHD. That is an audience preference, not evidence that Mad AI treats ADHD or any condition.
Is there an Android version?
No. Mad AI is iPhone and iPad only. There is no Android app.
Does Mad AI have sharing or a leaderboard?
Friend invitations, public leaderboards, and sending alarms to other people are not offered in the current app. This site does not describe those features as shipping.
What kind of goals can I track?
Anything you can reasonably show with a photo: a gym session, a study desk, a run screenshot, a cleaned room, a project milestone. The limit is whether the picture can be checked against the goal you wrote.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Account and choose Delete Account. That calls our servers and clears local data. You can also email madaisupport@gmail.com. Deleting the Mad AI account does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage that in Apple ID subscriptions.
