Terms of Use

Version 2.0.0 · Effective 2026-08-18

Last updated: 2026-08-18

These Terms govern the Mad AI: Angry Alarms app and https://www.madaiapp.com. Version 2.0.0, effective 2026-08-18. By tapping to accept in the App, you enter into these Terms with Alessandro Sappia.

1. Operator

Mad AI and Mad AI: Angry Alarms are trade names for a mobile application operated by Alessandro Sappia ("we", "our", or "us"), a natural person based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Support, privacy, and complaints: madaisupport@gmail.com.

Mad AI is a product name, not a separate company. The operator of the App and this website is Alessandro Sappia.

2. Definitions

  • App — Mad AI: Angry Alarms on iPhone and iPad
  • Site — www.madaiapp.com
  • Premium — the paid subscription entitlement in the App
  • Proof — a photo you submit to mark a goal complete

3. Eligibility

You need a compatible iPhone or iPad running iOS or iPadOS 18.0 or later and an Apple ID that can install the App. We do not verify that you are 18. You must use the App only if you are allowed to do so under the laws that apply to you.

4. Accounts

You may continue as a guest (data stays on device) or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for your device passcode and Apple ID. Tell us at madaisupport@gmail.com if you think your account was misused.

5. The service

Mad AI lets you set goals with deadlines, receive on-device reminders and alarms, chat with an automated coach, and submit photo proof. Friend invitations, public leaderboards, and sending alarms to other people are not part of the current App.

6. AI content

Coach messages can be sarcastic or critical. They are not professional, medical, psychological, or legal advice. Output can be wrong or unfair.

7. Photo verification

Proof is checked automatically. A result can be incorrect. You may retry. If you dispute a result, use the in-app or Site complaint form. We may not override Apple billing through that form.

You must not upload others’ photos without permission, or documents, exam papers, or health information.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of content you create. You grant Alessandro Sappia a limited licence to process it solely to operate the App (including sending it to the AI processors named in the Privacy Policy).

9. Prohibited use

  • Unlawful content or activity, including offences under UAE cybercrime law
  • Harassment of third parties through the coach or photos
  • Attempting to access another user’s data or disrupt the service
  • Reverse engineering except where mandatory law allows

10. Subscriptions, trial, and Apple billing

Download is free. After a 24-hour in-app trial that starts at first sign-in on the device, Premium features require an auto-renewing subscription sold by Apple through StoreKit. The App currently presents the monthly package from the current App Store offering. Prices are shown by Apple in your storefront, including any tax Apple displays.

The trial is managed in the App. It is not described here as a three-day App Store introductory offer unless Apple’s product page for your account shows one.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Restore Purchases reloads Apple entitlements. Deleting the Mad AI account does not cancel Apple billing.

Refunds for Apple In-App Purchases are handled by Apple. This does not take away mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived.

Apple issues the App Store receipt. UAE tax invoicing, if it applies, is a matter for the operator and the tax authorities — we do not print a TRN here.

11. Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that UAE consumer protection law does not allow us to exclude. Limitation of liability applies only to the extent permitted.

12. Support, complaints, suspension

Support and complaints: madaisupport@gmail.com or the forms on the Site and in the App. Complaints receive a case ID.

We may suspend an account for prohibited use. We will give a reason when practical. You may ask for a review via the complaint form.

13. Deletion, availability, IP, third parties

Delete the account in the App. Service availability is not guaranteed. Mad AI branding and software are ours or our licensors’. Apple, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, Google, Groq, OpenRouter, Vercel, and Plausible are third parties with their own terms.

Purchases are also subject to Apple’s Standard EULA for apps that use it, available from Apple. Where these Terms and Apple’s terms both apply to billing, Apple’s billing rules govern the payment relationship with Apple.

14. Changes

Material changes require a new in-app acceptance. We will show the version and a short summary. Continued use is not enough for material changes.

15. Governing law and forum

These Terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates and the laws applicable in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The courts of Abu Dhabi have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections.

16. Severability, no waiver, contact

If a clause is unenforceable, the rest remains. A failure to enforce a clause is not a waiver.

Operator: Alessandro Sappia, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
