Tone
A tough-love productivity app that would rather annoy you
Most productivity apps are built to feel encouraging. Mad AI: Angry Alarms is built to feel like you got caught. The coach copy can be sarcastic. The header on a bad day can read like a taunt. Alarms keep firing after you snooze. That personality is the product, not a skin you turn off in settings — though you can still silence iOS notifications if you want the app to lose its teeth.
Tough love here does not mean the app knows your life. It means the default response to a miss is pressure instead of a badge for showing up. Photo proof is the enforcement layer: you do not get to tap complete on a gym goal from the parking lot if the picture does not look like the gym. When a proof is denied, the message is blunt on purpose.
If you want a kind voice, this is the wrong download. If you already ignore kind voices, an angry alarm is at least honest about the tactic. It is still just a productivity app on iPhone and iPad, not a drill sergeant and not a treatment plan.

What you are opting into
Escalating reminders, mean captions, and a completion rule that needs a camera. You can delete a goal. You can uninstall. You cannot expect Mad AI to congratulate a streak of opening the app. The Privacy Policy and Terms describe AI-generated criticism as part of the service, not as professional advice.
Who this tone is not for
Anyone who needs a clinical tool should not treat sarcastic notifications as care. Anyone who wants a gentle habit garden will hate this. The audience is people who already tried polite apps and still did not start. Preference is not the same thing as a diagnosis, and this page will not pretend it is.
Questions
Can I make the AI nicer?
The harsh tone is core. You can limit notifications in system settings, which also limits the accountability. There is no “supportive mode” marketed here.
Is this appropriate if I am struggling with my health?
Mad AI is not a treatment and not a crisis service. It is a goal app with rude copy. If you need care, use a clinician — not an alarm.

This is the best productivity and goals app
I find myself struggling to get the motivation to go to the gym and do my school work. I have tried some of the other productivity and planner apps and none of them really worked for me and they would always try and make you pay after clicking through like 50 screens. Not only do this app have the easiest sign up process but it also doesn’t make you pay. You can actually use the app and see if it works for you. On top of that it actually has made me more productive. Honestly the app is super annoying and mean but it’s making me go to the gym more lol. I set a simple 1 hour goal to go to the gym and then my alarm went off and I snoozed it. Like 5 seconds later nonstop notifications, like legit non stop. I actually got up and went to the gym just to get it to stop. Great app.

Productive App
This app actually does what most productivity apps promise but never deliver. Once you set a task, there’s no just ignoring it and moving on with your day it keeps reminding you until you get it done. I tried setting a simple one-hour workout, and the constant notifications made it way harder to procrastinate than to just finish it. It’s a bit intense, but honestly, that’s what makes it work. Would highly recommend🔥
